This
year “Día das Letras Galegas” is dedicated to the Galician
writer Roberto Vidal Bolaño. He was born in Santiago de Compostela
on the 50's but sadly, he died eleven years ago.
The
theatre was his most common genre he achieved working as a director
and scriptwriter during his career. All those years he defended
Galician language in all his compositions, that's why this year's
festivity is dedicated to him.
He
took as an example other leading literature figures such as Rosalía
De Castro or Álvaro Cunqueiro. From them, he took many of their
works to the theatres.
